Just a short update on a few topics.
Production Progress
Okay, this section is a little boring, so feel free to skip to the next part. Here it is, though, since I promised in the last update that I'd do it.
It's weird to talk about production progress before the KS project even ends, but here we are. Since we already have a first edition, there's really only a very little work to do.
- The box is a different size. The box top was easy, since it's just the amazing James Maxwell siege art. The new box size gives us quite a bit of room on the box bottom for more information about how the game works, so that's being updated.
- Rulebook. The bigger box let's us make the rulebook larger, which is good since we have a lot more to cover, including 3-4 player rules and Coquina. The solo rules and new expansion(s) are in separate documents.
- Address the issues distinguishing the gray from the black flag icon. A few of you have mentioned this, and we knew it was a problem from the last print run. Testing has shown that changing the gray flag color on the dice to be much lighter does the trick nicely.
We hope that we can get them 100% as soon as the project completes.
Giveaway Geek
I started a campaign on Giveaway Geek to give five lucky winners a copy of Island Siege. Tell your friends to sign up - it's free!
Monuments Expansion
We're moving steadily to the $19K goal and the Monuments expansion. Monuments includes rules and two boards that serve two purposes. I'll cover the simple purpose in this update. One side of the boards includes islands for a general supply. Use this side of you're not playing with the Monuments rules and want a sexy place to put the unused cubes!
More on the other side of the Monuments boards, along with the rules, in the next update!
Stay safe!
